What happened to Susan Boyle's career after Britain's Got Talent?

I was one of the people who became a fan of Susan Boyle in 2009 during her audition on Britain's Got Talent. I was curious about what happened to her, whether she's still famous and performing concerts, and how wealthy she is in 2023.

Back then, Susan Boyle was a nobody, just another face in the crowd. Her father was a miner and a war veteran from World War II. She has Autism Spectrum Disorder and an above-average IQ, which made her a target for bullying from classmates and neighbors when she was young. She used to sing in a church choir and tried to get noticed by record companies. She used her own money to produce an album and participated in several radio and TV shows, but she wasn't really noticed until Britain's Got Talent.

After her audition on Britain's Got Talent, she became an overnight worldwide sensation, surprising the whole world, including Simon Cowell. At first, she thought that her dream of becoming a singer was over because she felt too old. But a friend and voice coach convinced her to try one more time, as a tribute to her late mother. The rest is history.

The same year as her audition, she released her best-selling album with the song "I Dreamed a Dream," which became a best-seller in the UK and beat Leona Lewis's first-week sales record. She earned 5 million pounds, turning her into an instant millionaire. She also had another hit single with "Wild Horses." She was not a one-hit-wonder, as she made a second and third studio albums, including a Christmas album that was supported in the UK. To date, she has 8 albums and is very active in showbiz and tours.

However, the transition to fame was not easy for her. There was a point in her career when she was emotionally drained and almost couldn't tour. She had depression and almost canceled her concerts, but she managed to overcome it after seeking help from a psychologist.

Susan Boyle is one of the products of social media fame. She became super famous and even published in China, Brazil, and the Middle East because of her Youtube and Facebook views. Her life story was made into a stage musical, which was released in the UK and Ireland to massive success.

She is one of the people who had massive career success despite constantly being criticized for her looks. People said she was obese and not beautiful, and that success was not possible for her. However, she broke all of these stereotypes.

Until today, she decided not to marry and instead decided to enjoy her concert tours and TV appearances. Part of her earnings is donated to charities, especially during the Haiti earthquake. She is a devout Catholic, has never been married, and never been kissed before she rose to fame, and is a follower of Jesus Christ. She credits the Lord for what she has now. She has recorded gospel songs, and she is currently worth 40 million USD.

Q&A : At what age did you first realize that you wanted to become an artist? I started to draw at the age of 7, as far as I remember.  I draw simple houses with my cousins. My mother was a disciplinarian before, and she provides used papers for me to draw/scribble instead of me going out and playing around. When my father came back in Philippines from working abroad, he brought set of encyclopedias for me to read.  It was then the first time that I read about paintings of the old masters (e.g. Leonardo Da Vinci, Van Gogh and others) which gave me my

Origami Pilipinas: Changing the Country one paper fold at a time

MAY 22 TIU theater is an artist hub located in Makati, and I was given the chance to watch Bakata: The Battle of Street Poets, a play produced by  Toshihiko Uriu  -   The play was a huge success and is predicted to turn into a Philippine classic, but I am writing this article right now to highlight another story that occurred inside the TIU theater.  A collaboration piece that helped produce the effect of the wonder called Bakata. I noticed the glow of the lanterns and the paper cranes highlighted in the stage design, it had the flair and flamboyant but subtle effect that was needed in order to make the stage look just perfect for the story line.  Leo R Natividad is the President and Owner of Origami Pilipinas.  I was fortunate to meet members like  L. River Butay, Adonis dela Cruz as well as Jose Monzales and other volunteers who continue to strengthen Origami Pilipinas. Origami Pilipinas and their Advocacy: Origami Pilipinas, was founded out of pa
