Alay Kay Baguio: Artist Day in Baguio City

Alay kay Baguio: Happy 105 Baguio City Staying true to the idea that Baguio is the melting pot of talent and culture, the local artists of Baguio in collaboration with the community has presented one of the most memorable Baguio City Day events in the history of Baguio. The Baguio Day 105 celebration was described as light, flowing and positive. Artist-musician Job Vezh, in collaboration with Illi-lika Artist assumption artists and Team #Espasyo, an emerging group of artists have collaborated to present what could be one of simplest and yet most inspiring event for Baguio Day. The day, started out with various group communities like the LGBT ( Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgenders)  community with Metropolitan Community of Baguio,  with Rainbow Bar owner Bootz Yabut and Myke Sotero and Gregory Rugay.  Musicians from local bands Dready Eye with lead vocalist Gail Paolo Khasyt and band members from Stalkies along with other artists from Espasyo like Tzar Umang , Ivy Buenaobra

Uhaj Ifugao Book Donation Drive

Last September 20, 2014  despite the typhoon Luis raging in Northern Luzon. Berdeng Karungan together with Baguio community volunteers has proceeded to Uhaj, Ifugao to deliver more than 1,000 books for the community. Berdeng Karunungan is a non-governmental  organization headed by ABS-CBN news anchorman Dhobie De Guzman.  Community volunteers Jason Quema a professional videographer and photographer who volunteered to gather books in Metro Manila and Baguio City, Calypso Alaia, Ivy Buenaobra, artist musician Job Vezh, and Gemma Mallillin proceeded to Ifugao to deliver the books. The project was the brainchild of Santos Bayucca,  he is an artist and at the same time a known Japanese soldiers World war II bone collector . He was the one who helped set up the community in Uhaj, Ifugao.  He created a building that he envisioned would someday encase the artifacts from World War II, while at the same time creating a library that can be used by the people
