“Cerberus”: Why it deserves to win the MYX Philippines Best Music Video Award of 2016

It has been a personal advocacy to support the local music and art industry of the Philippines. I have been researching and writing about emerging art forms since 2011. As of the moment, the music industry is undergoing a revolution of its own- for the better. The people featured here on my blogs are artists, directors, visionaries who are changing the game of the local industry in a positive way. Music Video Creation in the Philippines: The music videos that are being created right now in the Philippines have yet to improve.  The concepts that are made by traditional video makers still lack the vision and ideas that are needed to convey what is needed by the song and the artist. However, once in a while we meet Directors and artists that challenge our ideas. Here is my analysis on why “Cerberus:” deserves to win the Best Music Video Award on MYX. What makes”Cerberus” stand out?  “Cerberus” with Abra. Feat. Loonie and Ron Henley were able to stan

Mayor Rodrigo ‘Cocoy” Rafael: Changing the way we see Natividad, Pangasinan

Most of the time, we only hear about the negative news about government leaders, however there is much to know about the progress of each town in the Philippines. Part of my advocacy in community blogging is to present a different perspective to readers. Not everything we see and hear in the corporate news is true; there are many stories that need to unfold so that we can learn to share our efforts and energy in the right way. Social media is one good way to widen the gap in information that we are experiencing. Natividad,  Pangasinan:  Here is a story about Natividad, Pangasinan and the leaders that are doing what they can in order to improve their community. Mayor Rodrigo "Cocoy" Rafael: Natividad was once considered a sleepy town located in the 6 th  District of the Province of Pangasinan. But due to the patience, effort and leadership of Mayor Rodrigo ‘Cocoy” Rafael and Natividad constituents the locality is now experiencing a number of pr

Beatboxing is the art of controlling one's breath, lips and mouth movement in order to be able to create musical sounds. Beatboxing, although new to many Filipinos, has been around for a much longer time.  The fist record of beatboxing dates back to the ancient times, but there is still a dispute on which country it originated from, some say it comes from the Indian art called or, but some believe that this is a Chinese art called Kouji. During the 80s there has been a decline in the number of people interested in the craft, not until artists like Doug E. Fresh and Buffy from Fat Boys& Wise has revived Beatbox.  After this, many artists started imitating drum machines in order to produce beats and this gave birth to the idea of beatboxing.   Who are the famous people who practiced Beatbox? Although it is not publicly known, famous musicians like Michael Jackson and Justin Timberlake are into Beatbox. Michael Jackson for example is know
