Why I am no longer an Atheist and the importance of Meditation in life

I have called myself an Atheist for a very long time,  being a Philosophy student graduate I encountered so many ideas and theories from great Philosophers. When you are young, you have this need to feel important, every research and every book you read is able to transform you and most of these books you consider as truths. However, the best teacher is still life experience, everything that you need to know is already inside of you--you just need to remember it.  For a long time I have believed that religion is divisive, I still do as of the moment that is why I don't join any religious sect. But being religious is different from being Spiritual--and my spiritual life has suffered for a very long time, because my Ego believed that I am the one creating everything. For a very long time, I made life decisions that were not guided, most of the things that I have wished and done in life--was not in any way connected with my life purpose. I was just traveling, meetin

The Art of Prediction: Experiences of an Authentic Tarot Card reader

I met Chris Caszatt way back in 2014, when I passed by a book shop in Baguio City. I don't  know why I was particularly drawn in the direction of his shop. Chris is offering tarot readings and has opened a bookshop with his wife in 2014, but has already officially closed the job, to explore other countries. Baguio residents  learned to love him and his family due to his readings and friendly way of connecting with people. There bookshop has opened a number of ways to meet new people.  I was able to meet my dear friend Homer Oclares and I instantly connected with inside the shop of Chris because of the same wanting to ways to predict the future. It feels as if, that particular shop opened by Chris was just a way for people to meet friends who also believe in positive thinking and the law of attraction. On Tarot Reading: Tarot reading is a craft that could be honed, there are some individuals who are already clairvoyant when they are still young, and those who wa

Thinking of becoming a Filipino teacher in Thailand?

For the past 10 years there has been a steady increase of Filipinos going to Thailand to search for teaching jobs.  10 years ago it was possible for a Filipino teacher to gain a salary of 70,000 baht or 97,000 pesos for 1 month if you are hired in an international school.  For this reason a lot of Filipinos who came here early now have steady jobs, and have been able to put up their own tutorial schools. Some after staying for 2 years know the Thai language and have advantage among newcomers.  Unfortunately due to the increase in the number of Filipinos and other nationalities trying their luck here in the Land of Smiles today, you can hardly find a school that will provide 30,000 baht or higher for Filipinos.  What are the benefits of teaching here in Thailand? Many are asking if it is worth it to go and teach in Thailand, we produce thousands of teachers in the Philippines but the pay rate and the benefits continue to get lower and lower.  You can hardly meet

Know your local artist: Khervin John Gallandez : The Ilocano Artist

Khervin John Gallandez is an emerging visual artist from Ilocos. It has been a personal advocacy to share the amazing people I have met while on the road Khervin John Gallandez, is one of the many hopefuls in the local art industry— and he is definitely worth our time. He has focus and determination and young artists can learn a lot from his willingness to evolve when it comes to his craft. Q&A : At what age did you first realize that you wanted to become an artist? I started to draw at the age of 7, as far as I remember.  I draw simple houses with my cousins. My mother was a disciplinarian before, and she provides used papers for me to draw/scribble instead of me going out and playing around. When my father came back in Philippines from working abroad, he brought set of encyclopedias for me to read.  It was then the first time that I read about paintings of the old masters (e.g. Leonardo Da Vinci, Van Gogh and others) which gave me my
