The Art of Prediction: Experiences of an Authentic Tarot Card reader

I met Chris Caszatt way back in 2014, when I passed by a book shop in Baguio City.
I don't  know why I was particularly drawn in the direction of his shop.
Chris is offering tarot readings and has opened a bookshop with his wife in 2014, but has already officially closed the job, to explore other countries.

Baguio residents  learned to love him and his family due to his readings and friendly way of connecting with people.
There bookshop has opened a number of ways to meet new people.
I was able to meet my dear friend Homer Oclares and I instantly connected with inside the shop of Chris because of the same wanting to ways to predict the future.
It feels as if, that particular shop opened by Chris was just a way for people to meet friends who also believe in positive thinking and the law of attraction.
On Tarot Reading:
Tarot reading is a craft that could be honed, there are some individuals who are already clairvoyant when they are still young, and those who want to connect with their spirituality can start learning Tarot readings-

Tarot reading explorations need to be guided, before you embark on it, make sure that you will use it to improve the lives of the people you will be reading.

1.          When did you start to realize that you have a gift for Tarot Reading?

It started when I was young. I don't remember the exact age but I had a knack for reading people.

They would often tell me their life's story on first meeting.

Once I began asking them questions they would often see things differently.

What they once saw to be a curse became only an obstacle for them to overcome.
Then one day back 1997 I was chatting with some friends on the Campus of Michigan State and they suggested I visit a place nearby called The Triple Goddess (TG).

The TG is a store and school for alternative religions and the occult.

While there I was drawn to my first tarot deck and books.

What I had been doing just by chatting now became much easier and more natural with the imagery and prompts the cards offer.

2.          How do you mentally prepare before reading the life of a certain person?

I often say a little prayer and meditate on keeping my mind open and away from as much negative thinking as possible.

3.          Do you perform rituals before you start reading people?
In the beginning I had a very elaborate ritual of wearing certain garments, carrying certain crystals and wearing some jewelry that carry special meaning to me.

4.          Today I use incense to purify the area and I cleanse the table where I'll be doing the reading.
I still wear specific jewelry and recite a little prayer before my reading.

5.          What books about Tarot reading will you recommend to would be tarot readers when picking out your first deck make sure it is a deck that comes with a book?

I believe the best book to start with after the book that comes with your cards is "21 WAYS TO READ A TAROT CARD" by Mary K. Greer.

5. After a Tarot reading session what do you usually feel? I usually feel fine but some readings leave me exhausted and drained and an occasional one fills me full of hopefully energy.

6.          What is the most memorable experience you have with clients because of Tarot reading? I once did a reading for a drunken lady who asked me when her husband will stop cheating on her.

The cards showed that he would only stop if he was unable to cheat(impotence and health reasons) or he would pass away.

Her husband called her right after I told she and he asked what I said and she said I told her to kill him.

I never said that and since then I never do a reading drunk or to someone drunk.

Another time a lady who had been waiting for a job overseas to come through asked if and when she would leave for the job.

The cards showed she was already supposed to know. That she had received a message but hadn't acted on it yet.

Just after the reading she received a call from her recruiter who was wondering why she hadn't gone to her meeting in Manila.

The recruiter stated that they had sent her a message to report to the embassy for processing so she could leave by Monday.

The reading was on a Thursday.
7. Can anyone learn how to read tarot cards? Yes but not everyone can read the person having the reading.

7.          What can you advise to someone who likes to start their own Tarot Reading?

How can you become better in reading people? They need to practice reading daily and whenever possible.

Good practices are picking a new card every day and memorize it. Study the suits and their meanings. Learn the zymology of your cards. Learn to read with confidence. Tailor the reading to fit the person being read.
If they are a water sign speak in terms of emotions and feelings. An air sign speak of the mind and intellect.

A fire sign talk of action and energy. Lastly if they are an Earth sign talk of the practical and material. When it comes to reading people learn to listen and observe them without speaking or letting your mind wander.

Watch their eyes and take note of their posture.
 Avoid prejudice and bias.

Know your local artist: Khervin John Gallandez : The Ilocano Artist

Khervin John Gallandez is an emerging visual artist from Ilocos. It has been a personal advocacy to share the amazing people I have met while on the road Khervin John Gallandez, is one of the many hopefuls in the local art industry— and he is definitely worth our time. Q&A : At what age did you first realize that you wanted to become an artist? I started to draw at the age of 7, as far as I remember.  I draw simple houses with my cousins. My mother was a disciplinarian before, and she provides used papers for me to draw/scribble instead of me going out and playing around. When my father came back in Philippines from working abroad, he brought set of encyclopedias for me to read.  It was then the first time that I read about paintings of the old masters (e.g. Leonardo Da Vinci, Van Gogh and others) which gave me my

Why you need to visit the Bamboo Intramuros

There are very few places in Metro Manila that would make you feel relaxed and one with nature . I was fortunate enough to meet one of the legendary owners of  Bamboo Grande franchise.  Honesto Deuda aka Ka-Oni  is well loved by friends, acquaintances and people who have met him from different walks of life.  He co-owns some of the best bar and restaurants in Metro Manila. Origami Pilipinas: Changing the Country one paper fold at a time

MAY 22 TIU theater is an artist hub located in Makati, and I was given the chance to watch Bakata: The Battle of Street Poets, a play produced by  Toshihiko Uriu  -   The play was a huge success and is predicted to turn into a Philippine classic, but I am writing this article right now to highlight another story that occurred inside the TIU theater.  A collaboration piece that helped produce the effect of the wonder called Bakata. I noticed the glow of the lanterns and the paper cranes highlighted in the stage design, it had the flair and flamboyant but subtle effect that was needed in order to make the stage look just perfect for the story line.  Leo R Natividad is the President and Owner of Origami Pilipinas.  I was fortunate to meet members like  L. River Butay, Adonis dela Cruz as well as Jose Monzales and other volunteers who continue to strengthen Origami Pilipinas. Origami Pilipinas and their Advocacy: Origami Pilipinas, was founded out of pa
